As part of the new personal licence procedure you must submit a “basic” disclosure of criminal record. If you have been at your current address for more than 1 year and you have a MasterCard, Visa, Switch or Solo card you can carry out this check online for £20. To use this simple service you will need to enter:

• Your current name
• Any previous names
• Your date of birth
• Details from at least of the following:
  • National Insurance Number
  • Passport Number
  • Driving Licence Number
• The number of any previous disclosure issued by Disclosure Scotland
• Details of at least 5 year address history including county and post code
• Your credit or debit card details
